The Forum on Music and Christian Scholarship will meet at Wheaton College, Wheaton Illinois, from 17 to 19 March 2011.

This year’s program begins Thursday 17 March with a Pre-Conference arranged by Wheaton College: The Favorite Memories Project. Dr. Harold Best, former Dean of the Wheaton College Conservatory, will meet with Alums, Emeriti, Current Students, Friends and Guests. All are welcome. A fee of $15 will be charged for the Pre-Conference, which includes lunch.

Conference registration begins Thursday afternoon (2:30 to 5:30 p.m.). The first event of the meeting is a reception at the Billy Graham Center (7 p.m.), followed by a welcome from Wheaton College President Dr. Phil Ryken and a keynote address by Dr. J. H. Kwabena Nketia, legendary scholar of African music. Paper sessions take place Friday morning and afternoon, and Saturday morning.

A special concert is taking place in Symphony Hall, Chicago, Friday evening:
Brahms, A German Requiem
Wheaton College Choirs, Wheaton College Symphony Orchestra, Apollo Chorus
Conductor: Stephen Alltop

Organizers have arranged for transportation to and from the concert.

Breakfast and lunch Friday and Saturday, as well as coffee/tea breaks during the meeting, are included in the registration fee.
